SUSTAINABILITY

At the British Music Experience we strive to be as sustainable as possible, by taking the following actions:

  • Using compostable takeaway cups for our hot drinks at both of our Café locations

  • Washing and reusing crockery and cutlery in the Star Café

  • Using recyclable Merch Store and Star Café bags

  • Reducing plastic packaging wherever possible

  • Working with local suppliers wherever possible

  • Using dual flush toilets to reduce water usage

  • Having a paperless ticketing system and minimising printing wherever possible

  • Being part of the building-wide recycling programme for all the museum waste

  • Using sustainable and recycled materials whenever possible for exhibition displays

  • Using LED A/V and lighting equipment

  • Having energy efficient lighting with motion sense in all our back offices
